The first round of the NFL draft was yesterday, and in this article, we will be listing out each pick and asking 3 major questions about the choices in this round.

3 Questions

1. Why didn’t the Giants choose Haskins?

I don’t understand why the Giants chose anyone other than Dwayne Haskins. Especially a quarterback. Haskins has the most potential of any quarterback in this class. Who knows, maybe they know something about him that we don’t. They are, after all, professionals.

2. Does Murray deserve No. 1?

He is not the best passer in this class, and one of his biggest selling points is running. How often do quarterbacks run in the NFL? Not as much as in college, by a long shot. In my mind, Kyler Murray has too many questions that aren’t answered to be a No. 1 overall pick.

3. Why wasn’t Jawaan Taylor chosen?

Two OT’s were chosen, and Florida OT Jawaan Taylor wasn’t. CBS Sports named him the number 6th best prospect in this draft, just to give you an idea of why this is a surprise. He will most likely be chosen early in the second round.
